Principal Accountabilities
As a compliance officer for HSBC Insurance, you will be familiar with the rules and regulations relevant to this business, in particular, the Insurance Act, Financial Advisors Act, and Securities and Futures Act. You will work closely with the business in managing compliance risks by assisting them with the development, maintenance and updating of compliance controls, as well as providing advice on regulatory matters. You will also prepare periodic compliance returns and regulatory reports and implement comprehensive compliance monitoring programmes to ensure all key aspects of the business operations are covered. . In addition, you will be co-located with the business and you are a member of the legal and compliance function.
Experience/Skills required
You should have a good Business/Finance Degree with at least 2 years (for Assistant Local Compliance Officer) or 5 years (for AVP, Compliance) of experience in the financial services industry with relevant experience in compliance and audit role. A self-starter who is able to work independently, you must also have good analytical and written communication skills.
