IBF CACS Connect @ BNP Paribas Wealth Management
The Changing Landscape for High Net Worth Investors
31 March 2016
As part of our continuing effort to develop professional competencies for the wealth management industry, The Institute of Banking & Finance Singapore (IBF) co-organises regular seminars in partnership with Private Banks, entitled "IBF CACS Connect" series that are tailored for CACS Covered Persons.
At the recent IBF CACS Connect, IBF co-hosted with BNP Paribas Wealth Management, which session was held at the BNP Paribas APAC Campus.
The key highlights were the key findings from "Global Entrepreneur Report "and "M&G APAC Wealth Barometer Report" (produced in partnership with scorpiopartnership). Participants were updated on the knowledge gap of HNWIs in the region, and how private bankers are facing growing competition in remaining as a trusted resource for clients. Private bankers were also encouraged to rethink on the current client engagement model.
The session also covered the implications of Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI) on the clients of private bankers. The discussion here covered issues such as clients' asset immigration, intergenerational wealth transfer, tax amnesty and client data confidentiality.
Participants also learnt about the cognitive biases of investors toward asset allocation, and how private bankers can overcome them.
