As we usher in a new year, our first session for 2022 features insights on the employment outlook for Singapore from global staffing firm, SThree. SThree hosts a family of ten specialist brands (two of which are in Singapore), each with a different expertise and focus industry area. In this session, we have invited Joel Foo from Huxley (one of SThree's firms that focuses on tech, banking & financial services recruitment) to share his insights.
With a particular emphasis on mid-career professionals and career switchers, this dialogue will cover hot hiring areas for 2022, including "paths of least resistance" when exploring a possible mid-career switch. Phenomena like "the great resignation" and whether and how current job seekers can possibly capitalize on the departure of others will be among the topics discussed as well. The final part of the session will be to answer any audience questions, as well as to leave contact details for attendees to register themselves with one or both of SThree's firms here in Singapore, as an additional employment resource.

Joel graduated with a Human Resources Management degree before entering the recruitment industry many years ago. He first started as a researcher where he focused on understanding roles within front office banking before becoming a full fledge head hunter. With his commercial acumen, business insights and affable personality, he was able to build relationships very quickly and as a result, successfully helped both candidates within the banking and finance sector find a suitable career move as well as clients with any talent movement and advice within the market. He currently heads up the sales and marketing function focusing in banking, financial services & technology within Huxley, part of the larger SThree group.
