Costs for regulatory compliance in the financial industry increased massively over the past decade with no end in sight. At the same time, complexity around regulatory compliance has exploded while clients ask for new digital channels for accessing financial services. Until now, banks have attempted to cope with additional regulatory requirements by adding people to these processes, many times exacerbating the problem. While this was a solution for manual or paper-based processes, new digital service channels can obviously no longer depend on a manual process such as sending an email to legal and compliance expert waiting for an answer. Fully digital, executable and auditable access to regulatory and compliance requirements is required to make complying with regulations easy, lean and always up-to-date. Can RegTech solutions help to change course? Key takeaways:· Understanding of the current RegTech landscape and case studies· Deep dive on machine-readable rules as the basis for establishing ‘compliant by design’ workflows· Learn how RegTech solutions strengthen the control framework while at the same time making the life of client advisors much easier· Understand how RegTech solutions change today's legal and compliance functions towards a more strategic role within an organization· Digital regulation issued by regulators - dream or reality?
