Biography

Mr Quah Wee Chee is currently the Chief Investment Officer of Avanda Investment Management.

His investment experience in included Global Equity, Global Fixed Income, Alternatives, Commodities and Treasury functions in GIC as the President of Public Markets. He was a member of GIC Board, GIC Investment Board and Chaired the India and Natural Resource Group for GIC at various point of his career. Prior to joining GIC, Mr Quah worked in IBM after graduating from National University of Singapore.

Mr Quah is a director of OCBC Bank, Great Eastern Limited (Singapore), Bank of Singapore (BOS) and Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX). He is also Chairing the Investment Committee for Ministry of Health Holdings (MOHH) and a director for Economics Development Board Investment (EDBI).

In the past he had served on the boards of CPF, Singapore Labour Foundation (SLF) and Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). He was also a member of the Skill Development Fund Investment Committee (Ministry of Manpower) as well as WDA Investment Committee (Singapore Workforce Development Agency). He was also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Community Assistance Fund (Ministry of Community Developments & Sports).

Mr Quah holds a Bachelor of Eng (Civil Engineering) First Class from the National University of Singapore. In addition, he is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the then Association for Investment Management & Research (AIMR). He is also an alumni member of Stanford Graduate School of Business.
