Biography

Mr Tan Hak Leh is the Chief Executive Officer of AIA Singapore, responsible for overseeing and managing AIA's operations in the market. He is a qualified actuary with more than 20 years of experience in the life insurance industry, and has covered various key appointments in both the private and public sectors.

Hak Leh has played an active role in the life insurance industry and held several key appointments, including:

  • President of the Life Insurance Association (LIA), Singapore from 2010 to 2013
  • Board member of the Financial Industry Dispute Resolution Corporation (FiDrec), 2008 till present
  • Vice Chair of Singapore College of Insurance (SCI), 2011 to 2013
  • Member of MAS-appointed, Financial Advisory Industry Review (FAIR) Committee, 2012-2013
  • Member of the Financial Industrial Industry Competency Standards (FICS) Steering Committee, 2013 till present
  • Member of the Solvency Sub-committee, International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), 2001-2005
