Mr Ming Soong THAM has more than 30 years' experience in the financial services industry, both as a practitioner and a trainer, having held senior positions as a financial industry regulator, and at investment and commercial banks. Ming Soong is currently the CEO and Principal Consultant of Meister Inc Pte. Ltd. He is also an Adjunct Professor with the Risk Management Institute, and a course leader at the Strategic Technology Management Institute, both of the National University of Singapore.

Between December 2005 and April 2012, Ming Soong served as the Group Chief Risk Officer of United Overseas Bank in Singapore. More recently Ming Soong led a team that redesigned the Institute of Banking's (Singapore) competency assessment framework in risk management.

Ming Soong has extensive experience providing training to tertiary institutions and government organisations. Ming Soong has lectured at some of the premier universities in the world such as the University of Waterloo and Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

In 2009 he was AsiaRisk's Bank Risk Manager of the Year, and received the QFC-Asian Banker Leadership Achievement Award (Risk Management).
