Biography

I joined SCB in 1995 and have had various roles in the organisation, most recently being appointed as the Global Head, Product Engineering, Channels & Services on 1 April 2014. This role is responsible for the design and implementatoin of all the banks client facing channels and client serving applications

Prior to this current role, I was Chief Information Officer, Standard Chartered, Singapore. This involved setting strategy for Technology architecture, and responsibility for the delivery of technology & operations solutions to meet and country specific consumer and wholesale banking needs. During this time I represented SCB as a committee member of the Singapore Clearing House Association, being actively involved in the industry leading G3 project, introducing real-time payments capability for retail customers. I currently serve as an advisory board member to the SMU School of Information Systems, and have previously held a similar role at Temasek Polytechnic.

Earlier roles in the bank include Chief Information Officer (CIO), for Consumer Banking, and Head of Operations Consumer Banking, Hong Kong. I have also held the role of Technology Programme Director for strategic business projects, including the creation of shared service processing centres in Chennai & Kuala Lumpur, and acquisition integration.

Prior to Standard Chartered, I worked at JP Morgan, Hogan Systems, BNP, and Royal Bank of Scotland.

I graduated with a First Class honors degree in Mathematics and Computing.
