Biography

Peter Soh joined DBS in 1989; and was appointed as Head of Foreign Exchange in 1996. In 2001, he was promoted to Managing Director in the Treasury and Markets Division.
 
A Singaporean with a BA degree in Finance from the University of Hawaii, Peter has been part of a world-class foreign exchange team in DBS with a strong regional presence in spot and forwards/non-deliverable forwards trading in Asian currencies. Peter has been responsible for expanding DBS’ treasury and markets capabilities in London, South Korea, India, Indonesia and Vietnam where he oversees DBS Treasury’s trading and sales, ALM, risk governance and end-to-end processes.
 
Peter is an active contributor to the development of Singapore’s financial markets.  He is a member of the SFEMC Foreign Exchange Sub Committee and SFEMC FX Work Group on Global Preamble Foreign Exchange. He is also the Honorary Auditor of ACI Singapore and an executive committee member of ACI. 

In 2015, Peter was selected by the Global Finance’s "Who's who in Foreign Exchange for 2015”. Peter was conferred the IBF Fellow award in 2016 by the Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore (IBF). The IBF Fellow title recognises industry veterans who exemplify thought leadership and commitment to industry development.
