Andrew is a Managing Director of Banking, SEA. His primary responsibilities are to lead and manage all client relationship and deal origination activities in Singapore in addition to maintaining several strategic client relationships in SEA.

Andrew has close to 25 years of corporate finance experience ranging from DCM, Loan Capital Markets, ECM, M&A to Risk Solutions. Andrew joined Barclays in July 2001 as an Associate Director in the SEA DCM team in Singapore. He was promoted to Director in March 2004, where he took on client coverage responsibilities, before being made Managing Director in January 2015. Andrew is also involved with the Barclays Women’s Initiative Network in Singapore as an active member of the Executive Committee.

Prior to joining Barclays in July 2001, Andrew worked at Deutsche Bank responsible for their DCM origination business in Singapore.  Before Deutsche Bank, Andrew was a member of Bankers Trust’s South Asia M&A advisory team between 1997 and 1999 before it was acquired by Deutsche Bank. Andrew started his banking career in 1993 with Schroders as a member of the SEA corporate finance team in Singapore. 

Andrew graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (First Class) majoring in Accounting and Finance from the University of Western Australia. He holds a CPA from Australia. Andrew is one of the early practitioners of the Singapore bond market having originated a variety of debut transactions, from SGD bonds issued by domestic government agencies, international borrowers issuing SGD bonds, covered bonds in Singapore to international issuances by both financial institutions and corporations.
Andrew was conferred the IBF Fellow award in 2016 by the Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore (IBF). The IBF Fellow title recognises industry veterans who exemplify thought leadership and commitment to industry development.
