Biography

Nicholas Hadow is a director of business development with responsibility for co-ordinating and expanding new business opportunities across Asia. Based in Singapore, Nicholas works with local sales managers in various Asian countries. Nicholas joined Aberdeen in 2005 from Henderson Global Investors where he had a similar role focused on institutional sales. Previously, Nicholas worked for ING Barings. Before that, Nicholas worked for BZW where he was managing director of the Singapore subsidiary for five years, after which he oversaw the development of overseas offices. Nicholas began his career in commodities in 1977, and worked in London, New York, Singapore and Geneva. He is Chairman of the Investment Management Association of Singapore, having held a number of positions there since 2007. He is also a Director and Fellow of the Institute of Banking and Finance, and a member of its investment sub-committee. In 2014, he was appointed a member of the International Partners Committee of the Asset Management Association of China. He is also a member of Singapore Exchange Limited’s Securities Advisory Committee.
