"Singapore has to continually adapt in order to capture the next phase of economic growth. The finance sector will no doubt be a key engine for this growth. While I am honoured and humbled to be recognised for this achievement, I would also like to take this opportunity to encourage IBF to continue its efforts in strengthening the skillsets and raising the standards of finance professionals in Singapore."

Dan has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. He currently serves as the Global Head of Treasury-Markets (TM) for Standard Chartered Bank, a role that he has held for the past five years.

As the global head, Dan represents the Bank in interactions with external stakeholders such as key regulators on matters relating to the balance sheet, liquidity and non-client asset portfolio. He runs a global team that spans over 40 markets, which is not only responsible for prudently managing a large portfolio of mostly high quality liquid assets but is also the guardian of the Group's balance sheet and liquidity, as all Group assets and liabilities pass through TM for liquidity and interest risk management.

Dan holds both an MA and BA (Politics, Philosophy and Economics) from Oxford University, UK.
