Biography

​Benjamin is currently working in the capacity of a Treasury Sales Manager in Wealth Management, OCBC Bank and he manages the team of treasury specialists who supports both relationship managers and clients in terms of advisory and execution of treasury products which includes FX, Equity and Fixed Income.

He has been in the industry for the past 16 years; working in the capacity of relationship manager, investment specialist as well as sales management.

His current job function enables him to mentor and guide treasury specialists in the area of fair dealing to clients; as well as engaging relationship managers and clients in a professional manner. Also equally important, he demonstrated and preached the value of "Stay True"; in which all communication/actions has to resonate with the client interests at heart.

Besides his current role, Benjamin has also been tasked on several opportunities to give back within the bank. In October 2014, he was the speaker in the NUS Students Financial Literacy Talk and also over a span of a year, he was also the trainer for new relationship managers over the topics of relationship management and client handling. Besides this, he was also instrumental in the content design and construction on new hires training program/curriculum.

On a regular basis, Benjamin was also asked to host Premier client events within OCBC Bank as the speaker for market updates and investment opportunities.

On a cross-departmental level, Benjamin has also participated in projects involving his inputs on process development to enhance clients banking experience with OCBC; as well as improving productivity and competitiveness within the industry.

He is also an advocate of life-long learning; and has crafted out a multi year learning roadmap for the treasury specialist and is also currently working with Learning and Development to provide his inputs to update some of the course content.
