Biography
Mr Samuel Koh joined OCBC Bank in April 2013 as a Head of Interest Rate Trading and is currently the Head of Global Treasury Trading. With almost thirty years of experience in the financial market, he has been a thought leader at various stages of the development in the emerging markets in Asia. He started his career with Citibank Singapore in 1990 and has worked in various capacities in Citibank, Pacific Asset Management and OCBC Bank in Singapore, as well as HSBC and Bank of China in Hong Kong.
During the span of his career, he was involved in the development and trading of Asian regional currencies Interest Rate and FX Derivatives. In 1998, he transacted the first interbank Singapore Dollar interest rate option contract. On top of that, he spends time training and mentoring the newer generations of financial market professionals across many countries.
Mr Koh is currently the Deputy President of The Financial Markets Association (ACI) Singapore, an organisation that works closely with IBF. Within the organisation, he promotes the welfare and education of financial market practitioners in Singapore. He was the Chairman of the ACI Charity Golf which raises funds for charity organisations in Singapore in 2007, 2008 and 2017.
Mr Koh holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore and a Masters in Applied Finance from Macquarie University Australia.
