David is currently a senior business head in Global Commercial Banking, OCBC responsible for real estate, hardware, construction, engineering, logistics, food & beverage sectors in the SME segments. He is also responsible for regional real estate financing. His 29 years banking career spans over 2 Singapore banks and 2 international banks mainly in corporate & investment banking including 3 years as a regional market head for OCBC Private Bank. David started his banking career in DBS where he managed the banking relationships to large real estate companies, DBS group of companies and family owned conglomerates. At DBS, David honed his credit skills especially in real estate financing and all forms debt financing including debt capital market instruments. The next stop was Societe Generale where David took the role of Senior Coverage Banker providing "trusted financial and investment advice" to key decision makers in selected core clients in large corporate and government-linked companies. In those 5 years David specialised in equity solutions to the customers. Next, David had a stint in HSBC where he formed a new team to deepen corporate and investment banking relationship with Temasek-linked companies; offering cash management, project financing, debt and equity solutions. David holds a bachelor of business administration degree from National University of Singapore; associate Chartered Institute of Bankers, London; the title of IBF Advanced for Wealth Management and was conferred the title of IBF Fellow for Corporate Banking in 2014.
