​Sanjoy Sen joined DBS Bank as Managing Director in January 2018. He is CFO and Head of Strategy & Ecosystem for DBS's Consumer Banking and Wealth Management Group, which contributed income of SGD 5.65 billion in 2018, making up over 40% of the bank's total income. Previously, Sanjoy was Managing Director and Head of Retail, Private Banking and Wealth Business for ANZ Bank in Asia Pacific from 2012-17; Managing Director and Regional Head of Citibank's Consumer Banking Group in Middle East and North Africa from 2006-12; and prior to that, Retail Banking Head at Citigroup in China and India.

Sanjoy has had a distinguished career in international banking of almost three decades, where he led complex and diverse businesses across multiple geographies in consumer, commercial and private banking and wealth management businesses across developed, emerging as well as nascent markets in Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa. He is known as a business leader who can deliver rapid turnarounds, driving value through strategic transformation and digitalization, and has a strong track record in building award-winning, sustainable and profitable businesses across Asia. In 2017, he led the divestment of ANZ's Retail & Wealth business in Asia to DBS Bank and other regional players.

Sanjoy has concurrently served on various boards, advisory committees and task forces throughout his career. As a member of the MAS-sponsored Tech Skills Accelerator Committee for reskilling tech talent in Singapore and on the panel of judges for MAS and ABS Fintech awards for the Singapore Fintech festival, he is a strong supporter of the evolving fintech collaboration ecosystem in Singapore. Sanjoy is also a regular keynote speaker in global and regional conferences in topics such as future of banking, digital disruption and innovation. He had earlier served on the Board of Directors of various ANZ banking subsidiaries in Philippines, Cambodia and Vietnam; and was a member of the Citi Global Leadership Council. He has always been committed to talent development and training and was instrumental in setting up Citi's Asia Pacific learning academy in Shanghai and on the Advisory Board of University of Dubai's business school.

Sanjoy is also a strong supporter of DBS's social sustainability mission and was on the evaluation panel for DBS Foundation that supports social enterprises across Asia who are committed to providing innovative solutions in areas including social inclusion and environment protection. He has contributed to the NTUC-sponsored "U Future leader" mentorship program on how to make Singaporean managers future ready and globally competitive; and the "U Circle CEO roundtable" to develop initiatives to build globally competitive Singaporean talent.

Sanjoy is an engineering graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and has an MBA from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) where he won the Marketing Gold Medal. He has completed executive management programs at Harvard Business School and at MIT.
