​Mr. Jon Yeo is the Chief Compliance Officer for Maybank Singapore and Head of Compliance, Group Wealth Management.  

He is responsible for all compliance matters relating to Singapore operations and private wealth for the Group.  He is a member of the bank’s Senior Management Committee and chairs the Singapore Anti-Money Laundering Committee.  He is also the primary liaison with regulatory authorities on all compliance-related matters in Singapore.

Jon is currently a member of the ABS Culture and Conduct Steering Group, a joint initiative launched by the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Association of Banks in Singapore to promote sound culture and raise the conduct standards among banks in Singapore.  He is also a member of the ACIP Terrorism Financing Operational Group, a public-private partnership to deepen the industry’s understanding of terrorism financing risk.      

He sits on the International Compliance Association (“ICA”) Singapore Education Advisory Board ensuring that the courses offered by ICA remains relevant and up-to-date for the financial Industry.  He participates actively in various industry forums as speaker and panellist, sharing experiences and knowledge on a wide variety of compliance topics.  

Prior to joining Maybank, Jon worked in international, regional and local banks, covering mainly compliance and risk management functions, local and regionally.  He also has extensive experience managing large projects.  

A strong advocate of the IBF Professional Conversion Programme (“PCP”), Jon strongly supports many of his staff members, who joined the compliance profession as mid-career switchers, to complete this structured training.   

Jon holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Economics (Second Upper Honours) from the National University of Singapore and has completed the Asian Financial Leaders Programme in 2019.  He is also ACAMS-certified.
