Biography

Mr. Kenneth Kan is Managing Partner and Chief-of-Staff at Dymon Asia Capital.  He joined Dymon Asia in 2012 as Head of Execution Trading and was appointed Chief-of-Staff in 2017 where he works closely with the partnership on the growth and culture of the firm.  Kenneth heads up Dymon Asia’s Business Development and ESG efforts while overseeing the firm’s Human Resources, Communications, CSR and Office Administration departments.

Prior to joining Dymon Asia Capital in January 2012, he spent a year as the Head of Emerging Market FX Trading in Asia for Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank in Singapore.  Kenneth was Managing Director, and Portfolio Manager at Marathon Asset Management between July 2008 and July 2010.  He also spent 3 years at The Royal Bank of Scotland, Hong Kong from May 2005 to June 2008 as the Head of Asian Emerging Markets, FX.  Kenneth started his trading career at Standard Chartered Bank Singapore as one of the pioneers in Non-Deliverable Forward (NDF) trading back in 1998 and eventually became the global head of NDF trading. 

Kenneth has contributed actively to the development of the financial industry.   As Chairman of the Financial Markets Association of Singapore’s (FMAS) Education Sub-Committee, Kenneth has been instrumental in the upskilling of industry participants. Under his leadership, the FMAS has conducted numerous courses and seminars that have benefitted many financial practitioners in Singapore.  He represents Dymon Asia in local and international industry bodies like the MAS Financial Sector Tripartite Committee (FSTC), Human Resource Industry Group (HRIG) and sits on the working group for Responsible Investments at the Standards Board for Alternative Investments (SBAI).

Mr. Kenneth Kan graduated from Santa Clara University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce (Finance).
