Han Kwee Juan is Chief Executive Officer for Citibank Singapore Limited. He assumed the role in February 2012 and has oversight of Citi's entire consumer banking business in Singapore.

Prior to this role, Kwee Juan was Head of Retail Banking, where he led the overall strategy for the business including Wealth Management, the Citigold Private Client, Citigold and Citibanking segments, and the branch and ATM distribution network, since August 2011.

Kwee Juan is the driving force behind the solid growth and strong performance of Citi's local consumer business. Under his leadership, Citibank Singapore Limited has launched numerous products and services which are market firsts. These include the global launch of Citi's new banking terminal, the Citibank Express, Singapore's first payment tag, the Citibank Quick Pay Tag, instant SMS transaction alerts, instant online loans, instant activation and deactivation of credit cards as well as SMS Pay, a service that allows credit card bill payment via mobile phone SMS.

Kwee Juan has also led Citi in raising the bar for solutions and services provided to the affluent Citigold Private Client and Citigold segments. These include CEO Conversations, a unique event specially tailored for business owners and C-suite executives, the Future Leaders Forum, the first programme to support the intergenerational wealth transfer needs of clients in these segments, and highly sophisticated Real Estate and Private Wealth investment solutions.

Before helming the retail bank business, Kwee Juan was Head of Credit Payment Products, a position which he was appointed to in January 2010. He had significantly increased the bank's market share, customer acquisition, loan volumes and customer loyalty when the Cards and Unsecured Lending business was under his charge.

Kwee Juan was also instrumental in introducing many innovative products offering addressing the needs of the consumers, including the Citibank ULTIMA Card, Singapore's first credit card that targets exclusively at the private banking segment, and the Citibank Rewards Card, the first credit card in Singapore that awards 10 times rewards points for shopping worldwide all year long. In addition to these, Kwee Juan introduced the Citi Rebate programme, the industry's first across-the-board common rebate platform, as well as enhanced the bank's Instant Citi Rewards programme which allows cardmembers to instantly redeem their rewards at merchants island-wide.

Having started his career with Citi as a Summer Intern in 1990, Kwee Juan moved on to a Management Associate role in 1991 where in the early years of his career, he had held a variety of roles in FX Dealing, Trade Finance, Relationship Management in Corporate Banking and Regional Corporate Account Management. With more than 20 years of banking experience, Kwee Juan has successfully managed several of Citi's important businesses since joining the bank.

Between 1998 and 2002, Kwee Juan was Head of the Global Cash & Trade team, during which he was responsible for developing the bank's cash management, trade finance and services businesses in Singapore.

Thereafter, Kwee Juan was appointed Head of Global Relationship Banking, which saw him managing and growing corporate banking relationships with multinational companies in Singapore. At the same time, he was tasked to manage the relationship of global multinational companies with regional headquarters in Singapore.

In 2006, Kwee Juan became Head of Global Transaction Services in Singapore and had overall responsibility for the bank's cash management offering, fund services, securities services, and trade financing and services, to corporates around the world.

Three years later, Kwee Juan was given the additional role of Head of Strategy for ASEAN, where he had accountability for the strategic direction and framework for intra-ASEAN business opportunities as well as the opportunities between ASEAN, North Asia and the rest of the world.

Kwee Juan is a council member of Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) and sits on the National Advisory Council of the Ministry of Education's COMPASS (Community and Parents in Support of Schools). He previously sat on the Board of Directors for Citicorp Investment Bank (Singapore) Limited and Citicorp Trustee (Singapore) Limited from 2006 to 2012 and was a board member of the Singapore Clearing House Private Limited from 2006 to 2010.

Kwee Juan has a Bachelor of Computer Science and Information Systems degree from the National University of Singapore and a Masters of Banking and Finance from Nanyang Technological University. He is also a member of Nanyang Technological University and Nanyang Business School Alumni Advisory Board.

A Singapore citizen, Kwee Juan is married with two boys, aged 13 and 18.
