Ms Anju Patwardhan is the Group Head for Risk Innovation at Standard Chartered. She is also a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Standard Chartered Bank Thailand. She is a member of the Group's Executive Leadership Team and member of global Risk Function Management Group.

She joined Standard Chartered in September 2007 and has held various senior positions including Chief Risk Officer for Singapore, Global Head for Risk Appetite and Global Chief Operating Officer for Consumer Banking Risk and has managed large global teams of over 4500 people across 36 countries.

Prior to joining Standard Chartered, she worked with Citibank in Singapore and India for 18 years in various roles regional covering Asia-Pacific and Middle-East.

Ms Patwardhan is a Distinguished Fellow of Singapore Institute of Banking and Finance and a Fellow of Singapore Management University.

Ms Patwardhan serves on various industry and professional groups such as member of Singapore Indian Business Leaders' Roundtable, Lay Person to the Inquiry Panel of the Law Society of Singapore and Chair of Board Audit Committee for Singapore based NGO Association of Women for Action and Research (AWARE).

She holds a Bachelor of Technology degree from Indian Institute of Technology and a Post Graduate in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management.

Ms Patwardhan has been living in Singapore with her family since 1998.
