"There needs to be a shift from convergent to divergent thinking to cope with the complexities and challenges in today's economy where there is no single "right" or "wrong" answer. The ability to synthesize and in the process, draw out simplicity would be invaluable. FICS encourages financial practitioners not only to have the disciplinary training in reductionism but also having the expertise in synthesis towards solving today's organisations issues."
