Biography

Martin Siah is the Head of Asia Real Estate, Leisure & Gaming and Head of Singapore IBK at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He has 15 years of leadership experience in the investment and commercial banking industry in Asia Pacific, with focus on real estate, transport & infrastructure, stock exchanges and capital markets.

He brings with him significant cross-border mergers & acquisitions advisory, government privatizations, senior clients' coverage and on-the-ground execution expertise in Singapore, ASEAN, India and Greater China. He has served as key liaison with regulatory authorities in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines, especially with regard to real estate investment trusts code and business trusts framework.

Prior to joining Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Martin was Head of Greater China & Southeast Asia, and led the Commercial Real Estate Equity & Advisory practice in Standard Chartered Bank. Martin also spent more than 10 years in UBS Investment Bank, where he was Head of Real Estate Investment Banking, and Head of Corporate Finance, Southeast Asia.

Martin has a Master of Philosophy in Finance from Cambridge University. He is a Fellow of the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust and a Malaysian Commonwealth Scholar. He is currently a Board Member of the Capital Markets & Financial Advisory Services (CMFAS) Examinations Board in Singapore. He was conferred an Institute of Banking and Finance (Singapore) Fellowship in Corporate Finance in 2014.
