Mr Melvyn Low is the Managing Director of ASEAN and Singapore for Treasury and Trade Solutions at Citi. An industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience, Mr Low has held senior positions in sales and product management, transaction services, cash management, trade, and securities and fund services.

A strong proponent of innovation in the industry, Mr Low was instrumental in establishing the Citi Innovation Lab in Singapore for Transaction Services. In 2011, Mr Low championed the industry initiative to create the Asia Trade Hub Singapore at Citi, providing a single SWIFT gateway for letters of credit flows. As Director of the Singapore Clearing House Association from 2010 - 2013, he was a key contributor to the G3 (Fast and Secure Transfers or FAST) platform. Today, Mr Low continues to contribute to industry initiatives in transaction banking, such as the evolution of the National Trade Infrastructure and growth of RMB flows.

Holding a deep passion for talent development, he engaged the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School to develop the world's first full credit course on transaction banking for undergraduates in 2012. Today, he continues to support NUS through content-development and lecturing.

A strong proponent of transaction banking in ASEAN, his efforts were recognised when he was awarded "Transaction Banker of the Year for ASEAN" award by The Asset magazine in 2015.
