Biography

Osman Faiz is currently the Chief Information Officer, Singapore in Standard Chartered Singapore. He was appointed to his current role in May 2016. Prior to this he was the Head CIB & Commercial Banking Operations where he held the position since November 2015. With Singapore's importance as the global hub for the Bank's main business functions and its financial significance to the Group, Osman dedicates his time in growing the Singapore franchise, building on his strong relationships with key stakeholders in enhancing client intimacy and driving service differentiation through right partnership, integrating sales strategy, digitization, product innovations and operations support plans. 

As an experienced international banker with over twenty years of senior management experience, he has served as Chief Operating Officer and member of Standard Chartered Bank, Bangladesh management committee. His other most recent roles with Standard Chartered include Head of Banking Operations, Head of Wholesale Banking Operations Singapore & East. He was also the Head of Operations for Permata Bank, in which Standard Chartered Bank is a major shareholder, based in Indonesia. 

Osman was also instrumental in implementing a Core Banking system across 30+ countries with a Standard Operating Model (SOM) to drive operational efficiencies across Standard Chartered Bank footprints. In addition, he has led numerous integration projects like Grindlays in Middle East & South Asia; Metropolitan Bank in Lebanon; American Express Bank in Bangladesh. Prior to Standard Chartered, he previously held positions at American Express Bank based in South Asia. 

Osman holds an MBA degree and married with 2 children, who are also staying with him in Singapore.
