Osman Faiz is Chief Operating Officer, Singapore.  He was appointed to his current role in March 2019. Prior to this he was the Chief Information Officer, Singapore where he held the position since May 2016. With Singapore's importance as the global hub for the Bank's main business functions and its financial significance to the Group, Osman dedicates his time in growing the Singapore franchise, building on his strong relationships with key stakeholders in enhancing client journey and driving service differentiation through right partnership, integrating sales strategy, digitization, product innovations and operations support plans.

As an experienced international banker with over twenty-five years of senior management experience, he has served as Head of Operations, Singapore covering all banking segments. His other roles include COO of Bangladesh and Head of Operations for Permata Bank, in which Standard Chartered Bank is a major shareholder, based in Indonesia.

Osman was conferred with Institute of Banking and Finance Fellow Award in the segment of Technology & Operations. This is an industry-endorsed mark of professional standing. He was also the top 50 Champion of Women in Business for 2018. This award recognises male leaders who work 1-3 levels from the CEO and are making a significant contribution to gender diversity and the promotion of women to senior business roles. Recently Osman is named by Yahoo as the top 40 male advocate in 2019 for women in business and dedicated to creating a more diverse and inclusive business environment for women.
