Paul Cobban is Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of the Technology and Operations group in DBS, Southeast Asia's biggest bank.

Based in Singapore, he oversees the bank's operational excellence, customer experience, IT project office and Lean IT deployment, procurement, real estate, technology and operational risk and business continuity management.

In addition, Paul heads the Innovation group, guiding the team as it charts DBS' foray into the future of banking.

Paul's expertise and counsel is regularly sought after at leading industry events and forums, including the Singapore CIO Leaders Summit and the Asian Banker Summit. He has also led various DBS teams to accolades such as the Customer Experience in Financial Services Awards.

Paul joined DBS in 2009 as Managing Director for business transformation. Since then, he has driven a number of bank-wide transformation programs including delivering Asian Service, driving continuous improvement through process re-engineering, Lean IT and strategic cost management.

Prior to that, Paul, who holds a first class honours degree in Civil Engineering from Aston University, UK, spent 13 years at Standard Chartered Bank, where he held several senior positions including Global Head of Consumer Bank Operations, and Head of Consumer Bank Transformation, in Singapore, Hong Kong and London.
