Competencies

Industry Knowledge:Wealth Advisory Products

Demonstrate understanding of the wealth advisory products suitable for mass affluent clients as well as maintain awareness of wealth advisory industry trends and developments.

Exemption for this Competency Unit available upon completion of IBF Standards - Retail Banking (Level 1) subject to bridging

Industry Knowledge:Laws & Regulation

Demonstrate understanding of relevant laws and regulations as well as awareness of industry trends and developments relating to wealth advisory.

Completion of IBF Standards: Relationship Management - Priority Banking (Level 2/3) programme allows for exemption in IBF Standards: Relationship Management - Private Banking (Level 1), subject to bridging

Client Acquisition Through Trust-Based Relationships

Acquire new mass affluent clients through developing professional relationships based on trust, empathy, credibility and ethical conduct.

Completion of IBF Standards: Relationship Management - Priority Banking (Level 2/3) programme allows for exemption in IBF Standards: Relationship Management - Private Banking (Level 1), subject to bridging

Client Acceptance & Onboarding (KYC/AML)

Perform acceptance checks and on-boarding of mass affluent clients in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Completion of IBF Standards: Relationship Management - Priority Banking (Level 2/3) programme allows for exemption in IBF Standards: Relationship Management - Private Banking (Level 1), subject to bridging

Personal Financial Advisory

Advise mass affluent clients by analysing their financial needs and objectives, recommend suitable in-house "off the shelf" financial solutions, execute clients' instructions and address queries, concerns and issues on their existing banking and financial transactions.

Servicing Clients

Perform ongoing servicing of mass affluent client accounts and identify any potential opportunities for extending basic and priority banking services.
