  • Provide investment advice, analysis of wealth and estate planning needs and on-going servicing of high net worth clients.

Competencies

Industry Knowledge: Wealth Advisory Products

Demonstrate understanding of the wealth advisory products and wealth advisory concepts suitable for high net worth clients

Completion of the Client Advisory Competency Standard (CACS) Modules 1 and 2 allows for exemption from this competency. .

Industry Knowledge: Laws & Regulations

Demonstrate understanding of relevant laws and regulations as well as awareness of industry trends and developments relating to wealth advisory.

Exemption for this Competency Unit available upon completion of the Client Advisory Competency Standard (CACS) Module 1.

Client Acquisition and Business Development

Source and acquire new high net worth clients.

Completion of IBF Standards: Relationship Management - Priority Banking (Level 2/3) programme allows for exemption for this Competency Unit, subject to bridging

Client Acceptance and On-boarding (KYC/AML)

Perform acceptance checks and on-boarding of high net worth clients in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Completion of IBF Standards: Relationship Management - Priority Banking (Level 2/3) programme allows for exemption for this Competency Unit, subject to bridging.

Investment Advisory

Advise high net worth clients on their investments needs by analysing their financial needs and objectives, designing suitable customised financial solutions and reviewing client accounts periodically to ensure client needs and objectives are met.

Competencies

Servicing Clients

Perform ongoing servicing of high net worth client accounts and identify potential opportunities for extending private banking and related services provided by the financial institution.

Completion of IBF Standards: Relationship Management - Priority Banking (Level 2/3) programme allows for exemption for this Competency Unit, subject to bridging.

Wealth Planning Advisory

Assist Wealth & Estate Planning specialist in advising high net worth clients on their basic wealth and estate planning needs.

Exemption for this Competency Unit available upon completion of the IBF Standards:Trust Administration / Wealth and Estate Planning (Level 2/3) - CU 2

Risk Knowledge and Awareness

Demonstrate understanding of organisational risk management concepts, processes and applications.

Application of Industry Knowledge: Wealth Advisory Products

Apply knowledge of wealth advisory products and investment concepts suitable for high net worth clients.

Application of Industry Knowledge: Compliance With Laws and Regulations

Comply with laws and regulations relating to wealth advisory by maintaining awareness of the trends and how they relate to compliance policies and procedures.
