Competencies

Industry Knowledge and Awareness

Acquire and keep abreast of basic knowledge of wealth and estate planning industry, applicable laws and regulations and key service offering.

Wealth and Estate Planning Advice

Assist in providing wealth and estate planning advice by assisting in client wealth planning needs analysis and development of sound recommendations.

Exemption for this Competency Unit available upon completion of the IBF Standards: Relationship Management - Private Banking (Level 2/3) - CU 7

Client Acquisition, On-boarding and on-going Due Diligence

Assist in client acquisition, on-boarding processes and on-going AML/KYC due diligence.

Administration

Assist in the management and administration of the proposed wealth and estate planning solution, on-going monitoring of the trust portfolio and client servicing activities.

Risk Management

Demonstrate understanding and awareness of risk and risk management processes.
