Purpose of Programme

The wealth advisory programme provides the foundational training in financial law, ethics and compliance, wealth planning, cross-banking, and a seminar focusing on the Greater China market. At the foundational level, participants will be equiped with a good knowledge of compliance requirements and best practices especially in the client onboarding process, and be guided on how to resolve ethical dilemma. In wealth planning, the common tools (wills, trusts, foundations, insurance, etc) used in designing wealth planning solutions for high net worth individuals (HNWIs) will be introduced. Participants will also learn about the economic, legal, and cultural similarities and differences of the Chinese market relative to the Singapore market. Participants will be taught by top faculty as well as seasoned practitioners in highly interactive seminars. The pedagogical approach blends theories with practice-based applications through a good combination of academic research, case studies, applied group projects and practitioner talks. Assessments for each course are designed to meet the private banking industry needs on the competency required of a senior banker.
