This is a 2-part bundled program to meet the Representatives required 6 FA-CPD hours for the year.
Part 1 of this course begins with an exploration of what it means to be a professional. It explains that a FAR is a professional and contextualizes the content to highlight the importance of a professional adhering to the ethical requirements of his profession. The need for a FAR to adhere to all relevant laws, subsidiary legislation, rules, regulations, notices, guidelines etc. issued by the government or relevant authorities is also stressed. After attending the course, the participants will be able to better appreciate the thinking and intellectual dynamics behind being an ethical professional and this will enable him to be a better financial services professional.
Part 2 of this course begins with an elaboration of what a code of conduct is. It goes on to explain the purposes and objectives of a code of conduct and its usefulness. It then explores typical principles and rules usually found in a code of conduct. After attending the course, the participants will be able to better appreciate the characteristics and typical principles and rules found in a code of conduct and this will help him to adhere to the code of conduct and be a better and more ethical financial services professional.
