Biography

Cindy Koh is a skilled HR professional in the Banking industry with more than 30 years’ experience encompassing Learning & Development, Career Development, Employee Engagement, Organisational Change and Talent Acquisition. Passionate about driving learning initiatives, she also partners closely with the business in achieving their strategic goals. 

In her previous role as Regional Head of L&D APAC, Cindy has proactively engaged and consulted with business leaders to establish training needs and requirements. Under her leadership the L&D function has developed comprehensive training and development strategies that align with Group and Regional agendas. 

Cindy has collaborated with the IBF on a myriad of initiatives, notably the launch of the Certified Private Banker programme (CPB) in 2015. Singapore was the first entity in BNP Paribas APAC to launch the CPB Programme. Cindy was instrumental in building the curriculum with BNP Paribas’ Head Office in Paris as well as IBF to meet the local IBF standards to obtain the accreditation. Following the successful launch in Singapore, the CPB programme was extended to Hong Kong in 2016, Taiwan in 2020 and Thailand in 2023. 

In alignment with IBF’s 6 pillars of Future Enabled Skills (launched in 2017), Cindy rolled out the BNP Paribas APAC Digital Academy as part of BNP Paribas’ Digital Strategy – which included the development of digital capabilities of all employees through our Upskilling Plan. She also championed for the accreditation of LUMA Human Centre Design Practitioner programme under STS – which was subsequently accredited under SSG funding, which benefited a wider population in Singapore. A Certified Facilitator/ Practitioner in Design Thinking, she advocates leveraging this skill to develop a future- ready workforce. Cindy is also a strong believer in raising deeper awareness about climate change and sustainability, and is a Certified Facilitator for The Climate Fresk and Biodiversity Collage. 

Her passion for people development has led her to attain certifications in the Hogan Assessment & DISC Profiling System, to name a few.

Armed with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Cindy majored in Human Resource Management from La Trobe University, Australia.

On the personal front, she is an ardent supporter of people with disabilities and has been volunteering avidly for CSR activities. She is also the co-chair of the BNP Paribas ABILITY APAC Employee Resource Group.
