Gilbert Ng

Head of Banking, Singapore, HSBC

Biography

Gilbert NG is Managing Director and Head of Banking - Singapore, Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) and a member of the Operating Committee of HSBC Singapore.

In this role, Mr Ng is responsible for driving wholesale banking coverage across new economy, international midmarket

enterprises, multinational subsidiaries, global corporates, as well as institutional clients. Previously, Mr Ng served as Head of Global Banking for HSBC Singapore.

Prior to HSBC, Mr Ng was the Head of Corporate Banking for Citi Singapore. Mr Ng spent over 17 years in Citi where he

held a number of leadership roles spanning corporate, institutional, and consumer banking.

Mr Ng graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (1st Class Honours) from the University of Melbourne and is a CFA
Charterholder. Mr Ng is also a member of the Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore (IBF) Corporate Banking
Workgroup and alumni of the Asian Financial Leaders Programme (AFLP) sponsored by the Monetary Authority of
Singapore.
