Head of Group Technology Services, OCBC
Biography
As Head of Group Technology Services at OCBC, Heng Sou Sun is responsible for the management and delivery of 24x7 technology operations across the Group, encompassing infrastructure, applications, databases, middleware services, test environments, and workplace technology. He oversees the provision of secure, resilient, and scalable technology services that underpin OCBC’s digital transformation agenda and support the evolving needs of customers, employees, and stakeholders.
With more than 30 years of experience in technology and financial services, Sou Sun has led large-scale initiatives spanning cloud adoption, infrastructure modernisation, data centre transformation, service management, and technology operations. He works closely with business and technology leaders across the Group to strengthen operational resilience, enhance service reliability, and drive continuous improvement.
Externally, Sou Sun contributes actively to industry‑level governance and collaboration. He has served as Chair of the ABS Standing Committee for Technology Risk and Resiliency (SCTRR) since March 2025, driving industry knowledge sharing and best‑practice adoption across incident management, system resiliency initiatives, disaster recovery scenario planning, and system lifecycle management.
