Biography

Mr. Luke Lim is the Managing Director of Phillip Securities Pte Ltd, a member of PhillipCapital Group. Since joining the Group in 2004, he has held diverse leadership roles across businesses, driving innovation and strategic growth.

As Head of Corporate Development, he co-founded POEMS Venture, strengthening the Group’s digital and wealth management capabilities. He later advanced corporate business expansion as Director of Corporate Business (B2B), spearheading institutional acquisition pipelines and direction-setting strategies. As Executive Director, he guided Phillip Securities to multiple industry accolades, including the Best Retail Broker Award (Merit) by SIAS and the Most Preferred Stock Broking and Financial Advisory awards at the ShareInvestor Awards 2016.

Appointed Managing Director in 2017, Mr. Lim has led the company through digital transformation, championing innovations such as client-facing Chatbots to enhance engagement. Under his leadership, the firm has been recognised with awards including Top SGX-ST Member for Daily Leveraged Certificates (Retail), Singapore Depository Receipts (Retail), and ETFs (Retail) in 2024.

Beyond Phillip Securities, Mr. Lim plays an active role in shaping Singapore’s capital markets. Since 2019, he has served as Chairman of the Securities Association of Singapore (SAS), where he helps set industry standards and drive policy discussions. He is also a member of the MAS Equities Review Committee Workstream and the IBF Capital Markets Industry Work Group, and co-initiated the Remisiers Development Programme with SGX to upskill remisiers for evolving industry needs.

With over two decades of experience in finance, Mr. Lim frequently shares his perspectives on investment, wealth management, and business growth through platforms such as Channel News Asia, The Straits Times, The Business Times, The Edge, and MoneyFM.

He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Nanyang Business School and a Bachelor of Engineering from Imperial College London.
