Biography
Malcolm Koo is Chief Executive Officer of CGS International Securities Singapore, a long-established Singapore Exchange member firm and market leading integrated financial services provider. With over 25 years of financial industry experience, he began his career in investment banking at Merrill Lynch and has spent more than two decades with CGS International and its predecessor organisations.
Beyond his corporate role, Malcolm contributes actively to Singapore’s financial industry. As Chairperson of Conferences and Forums at the Securities Association of Singapore, he supports industry transformation, financial literacy, investor education, future-ready talent and collaboration between the financial sector and Institutes of Higher Learning. He also champions financial education and scam-prevention programmes for seniors and vulnerable communities.
Malcolm holds a First-Class Honours degree in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and an MBA with Honours from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is accredited as a Senior Accredited Director by the Singapore Institute of Directors.
Malcolm was conferred the Public Service Medal (Pingat Bakti Masyarakat) by the President of the Republic of Singapore for commendable public service in Singapore.
