Tok Geok Peng

Group Head, Consumer Secured Lending, OCBC

Biography

Geok Peng is the Group Head of Consumer Secured Lending at OCBC.

A veteran with 30 years of experiences in consumer banking, Geok Peng has deep product management expertise in deposits, payments, investments as well as secured and unsecured lending. She is passionate about creating innovative solutions and has been a forerunner in applying design thinking concepts and leveraging data analytics. These approaches have helped her create positive customer experiences and achieve productivity gains.

Under Geok Peng’s leadership, several first-in-market products and solutions have been launched. Notable initatives include the OCBC PartnerCare Programme – the first financial wellness programme for real estate agents; seamless Home Loan application via HDB Flat Portal; Car & Property Marketplaces by a bank; Multi-currency deposit account; and the Home Equity Income Loan, which allows retirees to receive cashflow from their homes.

Geok Peng also participates actively in industry workgroups and discussions. She believes in partnering with other industry leaders to lead meaningful change in anticipation of evolving consumer behaviours.

Outside of work, she is a trained coach and a big fan of mentorship. She enjoys mentoring her younger colleagues and seeks reverse mentorship to learn new skills from them.
