Biography

Vincent is the Head of Group Audit and a member of the Management Committee at UOB. Under his leadership, the Audit function has embraced innovation and decision science as core strategies to deliver assurance and insights to key stakeholders. As a trusted partner to management, the function has been driving positive change and continuous improvement.

With over 30 years of experience in the banking industry, Vincent has held leadership roles across both global and local financial institutions, including managing a strategic Data Centre supporting all lines of business. He lived in Tokyo for 11 years, taking on various management positions that broadened his international perspective. Prior to his current appointment, he led a wide spectrum of internal audit functions, including Finance and Corporate Functions, Overseas Branches, Technology and Centralised Operations.

He is an active contributor to the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Singapore, engaging aspiring and promising young auditors through mentorship and professional development initiatives. As a member of the Education & Professional Development Committee (2019–2022), Vincent partnered with IIA Singapore to shape the training curriculum for the Career Conversion Program for Auditors, aligning it with the evolving needs of the financial industry.

Vincent currently co-chairs the anti-money laundering and the countering of financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) Audit peer group, working alongside Heads of Internal Audit of financial institutions and representatives from external audit firms to champion AML/CFT audit best practices and foster deeper engagement within the audit community.
