Yang-Sheng Wong

Biography
Yang-Sheng (YS) is a HR industry leader with close to 20 years of experience. At Standard Chartered, he is currently the Head of HR for Singapore and ASEAN, having previously been the Global Head of Organisation Design. Prior to this, he held roles at DBS and Deloitte Consulting in the US, where he advised Fortune 500 healthcare and life sciences clients. YS is a member of the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s (MAS) Human Resources Industry Group and sits on the Asia CHRO Council with The Conference Board.
YS has contributed to Singapore’s financial services industry through partnerships with the MAS, IBF and other ecosystem stakeholders. Through this, he has led and supported several initiatives to strengthen the Singapore Core, accelerate upskilling and workforce transformation, deepen local leadership capability, and advance future skills in GenAI and sustainable finance. His contributions have helped shape accreditation standards, job transformation mapping, as well as training programmes that have produced many industry leaders.
He also participates in national initiatives to champion young talent, advance the role of HR, workforce integration, and disability-hiring through numerous organisations and committees.
