Zubin Dabu

Biography

Zubin Dabu has successfully built, developed and scaled Private Banking businesses across markets and segments over the past 25 years. At Bank of Singapore, he is part of the ASEAN business with direct responsibility for the bank’s Indonesia and Australia markets. This includes a UHNW business of key clients setting up family offices in Singapore. Prior to that, Zubin was responsible for scaling the bank's Global South Asia & NRI business.

Before joining Bank of Singapore, Zubin was Managing Director at Coutts where he was responsible for their private office portfolio for Asian clients and Head of Relationship Management for Southeast Asia at Standard Chartered Private Bank. He started his private banking career with BNP Paribas.

Passionate about sustainability, Zubin chairs Bank of Singapore's Sustainability Forum and contributes to OCBC Group’s sustainable investment initiatives. A firm believer in the power of ecosystems to drive sustainability, Zubin has helped set up key strategic collaborations at the bank. These include partnerships with Community Foundation of Singapore (CFS) to provide clients with philanthropic offerings and WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) to provide sustainable finance education to the bank’s global workforce.

Zubin actively championed several prominent industry initiatives, contributing to the development of Singapore's financial sector. He co-chairs the Private Banking Sustainable Investment Taskforce at the Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS), developing guidelines on sustainable private banking and wealth management practices. He is part of the Private Banking Industry Group (PBIG)'s ESG Taskforce, which focuses on ESG relevant competency standards for the industry.

Zubin comes from a background where family values are held in high regard and qualities such as integrity, resilience, empathy and the right attitude are key to approaching any situation in life. These are also qualities he aims to instil in others. A firm believer in talent development, Zubin actively engages with the bank’s NextGen segment as coach and mentor. He also contributes to the Wealth Management Institute’s (WMI) 'Expert Panel for Leadership' in Singapore.

Well-regarded for his insights on ESG, Diversity and his industry experience, Zubin is an active speaker at industry forums and contributor to magazines and journals.
