Biography

​Angeline heads up a Specialised Industry group within Global Corporate Banking, namely the Transportation and Offshore team, comprising:

  • Shipping finance
  • Aviation finance
  • Land transportation and port logistics, and
  • Floating Offshore Production finance 
     

As an industry head, Angeline has global responsibilities of managing the Transportation & Offshore industry pillars across Global Corporate Banking and OCBC Group's overseas branches by driving the strategies that the Bank should take in these sectors in terms of cliente selection, asset selection and transaction structure.

Angeline leads her team to work with the Bank's product partners in a) Cash and Payment Services for digital solutions; b) Investment Banking; c) Treasury Services and d) Sustainable Lending to drive opportunities and products suited to the Bank's clients' needs. 

Angeline has over 3 decades of financial sector experience focusing on the transportation sector.  She spent most of her banking career with international banks heading up the maritime teams in DnB, ABN Amro and ING.  She belongs to a small group of women financiers with expertise in the maritime field. 

Angeline is an active proponent of sustainable shipping.  In addition to promoting sustainability lending to the Bank's clients; under her thought leadership, OCBC Bank became the first South-east Asian bank to onboard the Poseidon Principles, a global framework for integrating climate considerations into lending to partner and encourage international shipping companies in their decarbonisation journey.  

Angeline is an active contributor to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore and the Singapore Maritime Foundation on issues concerning ship financing and attracting talent into the maritime ecosystem in Singapore.  She served as a member on the Foundation's International Advisory Panel on Maritime Decarbonisation, and subsequently joined its Board.
