Carmen Lee is the Managing Director at Bank of Singapore focusing on equity research. She is also the Head of Research at OCBC Investment Research. The equity research team provides coverage on a wide range of companies and sectors in several key financial markets, with a focus on analysing broad market macro trends and drivers and the subsequent impact on industries and companies. Our fact-based research has also helped the team to garner many awards from independent rating agencies such as StarMine (now a part of Refinitiv).

She has over 30 years of experience in the financial industry, with deep knowledge on the Singapore market as well as a good comprehension of the factors driving key global markets. Her investment views are widely shared on key financial channels including The Straits Times, The Business Times, Lianhe Zaobao, Money FM, Bloomberg and Channel NewsAsia.

Carmen is also actively involved in investment seminars and conferences where she shares her market views, outlook, investment ideas and trends. She has worked with Singapore Exchange (SGX), Securities Investors Association (Singapore) (SIAS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore Management University (SMU), Institute of Valuers and Appraisers Singapore (IVAS) and other institutions.

Carmen is a founding member of the Institute of Valuers and Appraisers (IVAS), a unit of the Singapore Accountancy Commission (SAC). IVAS was set up in 2013 to foster professional excellence in the areas of business valuation. Business Valuation (BV) is an increasingly critical area especially with the rise of M&A activities and the growing awareness and adoption of proper and fair valuation measurements. During her 6-year tenure, the committee developed and launched the professional Business Valuation certification, the Chartered Valuer and Appraiser (CVA) program.

She was also a member of the Investment Committee at the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) from 2015-2016. The investment commitment met regularly to review NKF’s investment portfolios and to study proposals to widen the scope of investments.
