Our fact-based research has also helped the team to garner many awards from independent rating agencies such as StarMine (now a part of Refinitiv).

She has over 30 years of experience in the financial industry, with deep knowledge on the Singapore market as well as a good comprehension of the factors driving key global markets. Carmen is a founding member of the Institute of Valuers and Appraisers (IVAS), a unit of the Singapore Accountancy Commission (SAC). IVAS was set up in 2013 to foster professional excellence in the areas of business valuation. Business Valuation (BV) is an increasingly critical area especially with the rise of M&A activities and the growing awareness and adoption of proper and fair valuation measurements. During her 6-year tenure, the committee developed and launched the professional Business Valuation certification, the Chartered Valuer and Appraiser (CVA) program.

She was also a member of the Investment Committee at the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) from 2015-2016. The investment commitment met regularly to review NKF’s investment portfolios and to study proposals to widen the scope of investments.
