Sim Willing

President, Insurance and Financial Practitioners Association of Singapore (IFPAS)

Biography

Starting his journey in the industry back in 1993, Sim Willing holds a firm belief in the significance of the role of financial practitioners. Despite encountering scepticism from acquaintances and family due to the inherent nature of the profession, Willing is steadfast in his conviction that by upholding high standards of professionalism, financial practitioners have the potential to reshape how clients perceive the industry.

His approach to leadership is uncomplicated yet impactful – by exemplifying a professional way of life, he aspires to guide and shape the next generation.

His involvement with the organisation commenced as a volunteer at IFPAS, contributing to the MediShield Life Pro bono 1-1 Consultation Project, which helped over 800 residents across Singapore understand the national health scheme.  This experience deepened his connection with the organisation, leading to an invitation to participate in a working group within the membership department. Now, he proudly stands as the elected President of IFPAS for the term 2023/2024.

Endowed with the privilege to represent and serve the association along with its members, Willing is fully committed to surpassing expectations. His dedication lies in empowering financial practitioners to conduct their work with the utmost professionalism. He equally devoted to  advocating professional excellence through continuous education and advancing expertise, proficiency, and ethical standards within the field.
