Biography

Wong Kee Joo is the Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Singapore.

Kee Joo has more than two and a half decades of experience in the banking industry in Singapore, UK, China, Hong Kong and Thailand.  

Prior to his appointment as CEO of Singapore in June 2021, Kee Joo was HSBC's Asia Pacific Regional Head of Global Liquidity and Cash Management and led the bank's delivery of integrated cash management solutions to multinational corporations, mid-market enterprises, small businesses and financial institutions across the region.

Before that, Kee Joo was Head of Global Liquidity and Cash Management for China and prior to that, Thailand. In both markets, he was responsible for leading the execution of HSBC's growth, investment and emerging markets strategy.

Kee Joo is Co-Chairman of the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s Singapore Sustainable Finance Association, Vice Chairman of the Association of Banks in Singapore, council member of the Singapore Business Federation, Advisory Board member of Climate Governance Singapore, Singapore Green Finance Centre and National Youth Achievement Award Singapore.
