About the Speaker

Clifford is the Global Head of Fixed Income at DBS Bank. An Asian banking veteran with more than three decades of experience, he is responsible for the continual build-up and development of the Bank's bond origination, structuring/ratings, syndicate and global distribution businesses. 

He manages a team of close to 100 professionals spanning across the world's leading financial hubs, including Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, India, Taiwan and London. He is accredited in the market to have established DBS as the only Asia-headquartered bond house operating across Asia in both G3 and select domestic currencies, with proven product competencies spanning straight bonds, perpetual bonds, convertible bonds and structured debt securities. 

Clifford is actively involved in the Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore (IBF) Capital Markets and Financial Markets Industry Workgroup to drive further development of the bond market and finance professionals.  His achievements in digitalisation of the capital markets can be seen in the launch of the award-winning FIX Marketplace platform. He is focused on making sustainable financing real and relevant in the Asia market, both in his capacity as a board member of DBS Foundation which champions social entrepreneurship across the region to tackle social and environmental issues, and as member of DBS Bank's Sustainability Council. He is also one of the longest-serving members of the DBS Singapore Management Committee. 

In addition to his responsibilities in DBS, he sits on the Investment Committee of Muzinich Asia Pacific (APAC) Private Debt 1 which focuses on special situations opportunities in Asia and is an in-coming board member of DTCC Data Repository (Singapore).
