IBF 50th Anniversary

Established in 1974 as a not-for-profit industry association to foster and develop the professional competencies of the financial industry, IBF has dedicated the last 50 years to building a competent, honest and reliable financial sector workforce, the essential timber for a resilient and trusted global financial centre. Working together with the industry, we have deepen competencies and promoted upskilling and workforce transformation through our initiatives and programmes for the industry.

To commemorate the occasion, we have planned a series of events and initiatives that we will be rolling out throughout the year under two main themes:
Elevating Skills and Empowering Careers.

IBF 50th Anniversary

To commemorate our golden jubilee, we created our 50th anniversary logo that embodies our spirit of collaboration and shared vision building with the industry.

The logo, a stylized "50" is formed by three lines, signifying tripartite collaboration between the government, unions and industry to support the growth of the financial sector.

It reflects their harmonious collaboration, where the labor unions, government, and the financial sector have come together over half a century to build a prosperous Singapore. This logo embodies the story of shared responsibility, shared successes, and a shared vision for the future.

The logo also includes a stylized infinity loop which symbolizes the mindset that underpins IBF’s mission and mandate to support the industry to continuously collaborate, learn, un-learn and relearn.

50th Anniversary Gala

To celebrate this milestone, we will hold our 50th Anniversary Gala in October this year. The annual IBF Awards where we recognise individual and institutions who have demonstrated a deep commitment to raising industry competencies and standards will also be held during the 50th Anniversary Gala.
